Matthew Finkelstein is an organic farmer, permaculturalist, holistic health advocate and educator. He brings nearly ten years of experience in the field, including expertise in production farming, urban farming, home gardening, herbalism & wildcrafting, holistic land management, the natural products industry, and holistic nutrition. He also has had extensive experience in organizational strategy and development from working with his family’s management consulting firm for several years.
Much of Matthew’s experience stems directly from the plants themselves. Growing up in the green hills of Marin County, he received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from UC San Diego and completed the Apprenticeship in Ecological Horticulture at the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems at UC Santa Cruz. Matthew has chaired the board of non-profits, organized educational events, worked on and managed organic farms and land projects.
Matthew continues to further his experience, knowledge, and understanding with both experiential training and education Currently, Matthew is directing his efforts towards what he calls garden & wellness
empowerment – working directly with home gardeners and land-based
